About the Artist

Diana Winchester (formerly Boudreau) was born of a different time – a time when an active imagination could occupy a child for hours.

Her mother was a professional seamstress and some of Diana’s earliest memories involve sitting at her mother’s feet, quietly playing amongst the discarded snippets of fabric, rearranging the bits of colour and texture into pleasing collages. Today, Diana still plays with colour and texture – but with glass not fabric – in her work as a professional stained-glass artisan.

Diana’s reputation for quality work and innovative design has resulted in her art gracing the homes of clients from Hawaii to France. Diana is continuously stretching herself as an artist and is currently experimenting with old bottles, broken china and discarded window casings, incorporating various found items into her one-of-a-kind stunning works of art.

Diana’s studio, Kindred Spirits, is located in Hillsborough, New Brunswick, a village of 1200, located on the banks of the Chocolate River, minutes from the world-famous Hopewell Cape Rocks. Kindred Spirits operates year-round and visitors to Diana’s quaint cottage-like studio are welcome by chance or by appointment.

Diana is an active member of the Albert County Chamber of Commerce and is one of the founding members of the Fundy Studio Tour – an annual studio open-house of the region’s artisans which takes place on the Victoria weekend (May).
